Dr. Tuchman received a BA in molecular biology and biochemistry from Wesleyan University in 2004 and MD from the University of Miami in 2005 with election to the medical honors society Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed a residency in Neurological Surgery at the University of Southern California in 2016. He also completed a fellowship in complex spine surgery at USC with a focus on minimally invasive, tumor and deformity surgery. Dr. Tuchman spent an additional year completing fellowship surgical training in complex adult and pediatric deformity surgery and cervical spine surgery under Dr. Lenke, Dr. Riew, and Dr. Lehman in the Columbia University Department of Orthopedic Surgery.
Upon completion of his fellowship in 2017, Dr. Tuchman joined the faculty of Columbia University. His clinical interests include adult and pediatric spine deformity, minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal tumors, complex spine and cervical spine surgery. He has had over 50 publications accepted as peer reviewed clinical articles, book chapters, and meeting abstracts. He also serves on the Editorial Board of the journal “World Neurosurgery”.
